What’s the difference between studying architecture and doing architecture? In studio, we focused mainly on design development and creating presentation drawings to explain our “big ideas” at final reviews. In a firm setting, I’m doing everything I never did in school, such as measuring existing conditions, meeting clients, drafting construction drawings, and detailing different parts of a building.

Coolest architecture you’ve seen abroad: I can’t choose just one building, but Rome definitely has the coolest architecture.

Tell us something we don’t know: I have a twin brother, Chris, who teaches AP Biology at Bowie High School. We’ve gone to the same schools, including the University of Maryland, every year since kindergarten.
