Adam is from Reisterstown, Maryland, where his parents have been restoring their 1920s farmhouse since he was young. The first-hand experience in renovating his childhood home kindled a passion for the character embodied in older homes and set the stage for Adam’s practice today. A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park (B.S. Arch), Adam arrived at BarnesVanze Architects in 2016. Adam delights in the discovery that clients and colleagues alike appreciate traditional and classical design as much as he does. Adam works hard to create architecture that will serve generations in its permanence and beauty. He is active with several historic foundations, including the Homewood House Museum, and is an avid and knowledgeable sailor.
