Marc Thompson, Associate AIA

Marc wanted to design homes since he was 5 years old, spending entire summer afternoons on the beach creating sandcastles that would turn into sand neighborhoods and sand cities. His commitment to making places led him to study architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, gaining a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and then a Masters. He knew he wanted to work for BVA because the firm’s projects combine modern elements with a sophisticated, traditional feel. He believes that patience and imagination are the keys to a great project and loves that each client has different goals, challenging him to create something beautiful in response. He is inspired by the cultural reset of the 1920s when design broke from tradition, and committed to the belief that risk is essential to good design.
