Originally from the rural hill country of northeastern Pennsylvania, Stephen’s youthful experience of a historic performing arts center created a lasting desire to compose the setting where people live their lives. He received his undergraduate degree studying architecture at Judson University, which was followed by a Master’s degree in Architecture with a concentration in history and preservation from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Previously employed at Hartman Cox, where BVA’s founding principals also honed their early careers, Stephen pursued a position at BarnesVanze to focus on residential work specifically. Stephen arrived at BVA in 2016, where he values the firm’s commitment to design and beauty.
