Wayne R. Adams
Wayne joined BarnesVanze in 2011 as a senior designer and was named principal in 2018. He is a fourth generation Pittsburgher who attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., the Boston Architectural Center (B.A.), and the University of Syracuse (M. Arch). He attributes his enthusiasm for architecture to his early experiences traveling around the world with his family, which made a lasting impact on his career. Today, Wayne finds he enjoys problem solving, hand drawing, evolving technologies, new materials, and the precision required of highly functioning design. “I value collaborating with tradesman, artisans and builders to create buildings that exceed our client’s expectations.”
A longtime admirer of BVA’s projects, Wayne joined the firm after practicing on his own. He is honored to contribute to the leadership of BVA’s future course as well as to the designs of handsome, structurally efficient and useful architecture. He is also pleased to be a mentor to young practitioners rising through the myriad advances of the 21st century. Wayne is active in the ICAA and Design Leadership Network.
