Ye-Sook Catalan

Ye-Sook was born in the Philippines and raised in Thailand before moving to Washington DC. On her travels throughout Europe and Asia, Ye-Sook developed a profound admiration for traditional architecture and how it translates across cultures and epochs, cementing her belief that architecture is built to last for generations. She admires the connection BVA has with their clients and their collective goal to create lasting beauty in all their work. 

Ye-Sook has a B.S. in both Architecture and Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Architecture from the Catholic University of America. In her free time, she enjoys sketching buildings in Washington, studying the Renaissance masters, and going to local cafes.
