Rocky Mountain Camp

Previous clients, who have enjoyed spending time in a beautifully remote part of southwest Colorado, returned to BVA when a stunning property became available with inspiring mountain views, rolling untouched landscape, and access to a meandering valley river. The land was a blank canvas to create a new retreat for the family to enjoy for generations. We designed three separate buildings — a main house, guest house, and barn — that nestled respectfully into the landscape and provided a home base from which they could explore the surrounding natural beauty. To ensure the buildings were not only beautiful but insulated for extreme weather, we collaborated with the architect of record and local builder who had deep experience with local conditions.
