To suit the magnificent property on the Delmarva peninsula in Cape Charles, Virginia, BVA designed a house that is rooted in the tradition of 18th-century Virginia tidewater homes. The one-room-deep floor plan provides cross ventilation and high ceilings allow heat to rise. Covered porches, a detached brick chimney, and traditional trim and molding reinforce the historic Tidewater aesthetic.
