Hearth in Horse Country

To accommodate the client’s two passions, cooking and his exotic fish collection, BVA renovated this 1980s Colonial home by gutting the first floor to create an open farmhouse kitchen with a massive stone hearth to anchor the Kitchen, Dining Room, and Lounge. Wide-plank heartwood-pine flooring and natural-finish reclaimed beams tie the rooms together. The fish tank is housed in custom cabinetry with a new mechanical room to contain its lines.
