Tudor Redux

For a young family who had slowly outgrown their existing home in one of DC’s charming neighborhoods, we helped reinvent a Tudor-style home. The house, built in 1928, already had several updates but was limited by a small, inefficient kitchen and cramped lower level. By building a new addition, we created a more comfortable kitchen that has become a gathering place and complements the beautiful character of the existing home. Along with capturing the space under this new kitchen, the remainder of the lower level — excavated and lowered — allows for a new spa, music room, family room, and a chic bar for entertaining. With these thoughtful moves, we have ensured the family will enjoy their home for generations.
